These Terms of Service govern your use of FootRivals. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

2. Accounts and access

• Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You must not share, sell, or transfer your account without written consent.

3. Service rules

• No cheating, automation, or manipulation of steps, scoring, or rankings.
• No attempts to gain unauthorized access or disrupt the app or infrastructure.
• No unlawful, abusive, or infringing usernames or profile content.

4. Health and activity data

FootRivals uses Apple Health step data with your permission. Step totals drive in-app points and rankings. You can revoke Health permissions in iOS settings, but this may reduce app functionality.

5. Leaderboards, scoring, and service changes

We may change points thresholds, gameweek rules, ranking logic, and feature availability to keep the service fair and reliable. We do not guarantee that rankings or outcomes will remain unchanged over time.

6. Paid features

If paid subscriptions or in-app purchases are introduced, pricing and billing terms will be shown before purchase. Payment processing is handled by Apple under App Store terms.

7. Intellectual property

FootRivals, including branding, software, and content (excluding third-party marks), is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited right to use the service for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create risk to other users or the service. You may stop using the app at any time and can request account deletion in-app.

9. Disclaimers

FootRivals is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is a fitness and competition app, not medical advice. You are responsible for your own health and activity decisions.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FootRivals is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, data loss, or service interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
